Commuter Overview

What exactly is a commuter? A commuter is any student not living in residence. Victoria College is nearly 80% commuter students – we are also one of the only Colleges in the University of Toronto to offer extended programming exclusively for commuter students – Commuter Orientation!  At Victoria College, we strive to provide commuters with a comprehensive experience to help integrate fully into the Victoria College community.

What are Commuter Dons:

“Vic Commuter Dons aim to provide you with the same kind of support that has been available to residence students from their Dons. You can think of us as student mentors or facilitators who are available to help you with personal, academic, financial or social matters, as well as connect you to university resources. Also, we’re commuters too and have experienced first-hand the struggles of commuting.

This means that you can come talk to us about anything! Whether you’re having difficulty adjusting to university life or simply want to chat and connect…please stop by! We’re here for you and hope to create a campus environment that is more commuter-friendly.” (Borrowed from the Vic Commuter Don Facebook page.)

If you have any questions, be sure to send them an email at vic.commuter.don@gmail.com.
